Video song: Have you ever seen the rain?

John Fogerty wrote this song about his brother Tom's departure from the band. They were very successful at the moment, and the departure was like a rain on the sunny day. he B-side of this single, "Hey Tonight", was John Fogerty's message that the band would go on despite the ups and downs in their career. John Fogerty was inspired to use a Hammond organ on this track after he had heard it during the performance of the group Booker T. & the M.G.'s which opened the Creedence Clearwater Revival's concert in 1970. When John Fogerty introduced the song at a 2012 show in Arizona, he said, "This song was originally written about a very sad thing that was going on in my life. But I refuse to be sad now. Because now this song reminds me of my little girl, Kelsy, and every time I sing it, I think about Kelsy and rainbows."

Lyrics "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" Someone told me long ago There's a calm before the storm I know, it's been comin' for some time When it's over, so they say It'll rain a sunny day I know, shinin' down like water I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain? I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain? Comin' down on a sunny day Yesterday, and days before Sun is cold and rain is hard I know, been that way for all my time 'Til forever, on it goes Through the circle, fast and slow I know, it can't stop, I wonder I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain? I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain? Comin' down on a sunny day Yeah! I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain? I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain? Comin' down on a sunny day
